To follow your heart, it gives you luck. I was no different from many others and just wanted to follow my heart. When I was a young man in his twenties, I had a vision, enormous energy and millions of dreams to start my business right away and make it a huge success around the world.

Well, I started and for me as an entrepreneur for the first time it was a self-learning for me in various aspects. I worked with a few startups before starting my first business in 2008. My career path was not as easy as that of millions of others. I made good decisions, made bad decisions and learned a lot. It was a great learning experience and I continue to learn a lot in a practical world.

6 Lessons I learnt as a Startup Entrepreneur

A successful entrepreneur needs commitment, focus, patience, efficiency, positive attitude, passion, sacrifice and courage. As an entrepreneur, you are not alone in the journey: you have employees, their families, salespeople, other direct and indirect problems that depend on your business.

1. All about you
It is very important to make an appropriate SWOT analysis of your business. If you know your strengths, you can take care of new opportunities and work on your weaknesses will help you stay away from future threats. Keep doubting yourself, your choices, ask everything and everyone - it will help you improvise every day. Keep track of all your departments, customers, processes and finances at least at the macro level.

2. Be disciplined
Being disciplined and punctual is very important. It becomes a practice and a rule for everyone who works with you; Begin to evaluate your time and others follow the path. Imagine that resources arrive too late or that you reach a customer too late. It's very annoying and frustrating for customers to do something right next to you. Everyone needs to know that it's a startup and needs more care. Set hours for yourself and your team. It is very important to create the culture and decorum for the right office, keeping all the interesting things you do in the office. You should also make it a habit to finish activities on the same day and make sure your team follows the same path to become part of the culture.

3. Assemble the team
Every entrepreneur likes to hire people with the same passion as him. It surprises me when I see very experienced or educated resources trying to get rid of responsibilities or roles. The delegation is good, but to a certain extent. It's always difficult to hire someone "as good as you". Hire passionate people, teach them and let them prove themselves. As an entrepreneur, it will always be difficult to hire and maintain both sides, ie Fresher (they need big brands) and with experience (they need security). So be smart and accept a mediocre talent. Plan your hiring to save money and hire the best resources in the industry.

4th value process
You must ensure that the processes in all your departments are tracked and make them a practice for you as well. Define processes for human resources, operations, finances, brand development and lead generation. Bring the right people to meet your defined processes. Get used to using a notebook or a blackboard to make sure you do not miss anything and fully understand your daily work. Define processes based on daily, weekly and monthly goals for everyone, including you. The processes and the numbers are very important. Startups are more disciplined than anything else.

5. Manage cash flow
Keep your loans and debts almost every day. Make sure you always have at least 6 months operating money in your bank account when you are in the service sector. I understand that I have 4 weeks in a month to manage my cash flow and be alert. As entrepreneurs, we need to have a macro level for the next line of credit of existing clients or new commercial advances.

6. Network with similar views
It is also important to see your business from abroad. Establishing contacts with new people will be very useful. It will help you to recruit resources, create new businesses, promote your brand and make it known to the world. You must travel online and participate in corporate networking events, startup events, conventions and meetings. Make intensive use of social networking platforms to build your network.

Well, I'm still learning and it gives me great pleasure to share what I've learned. I hope to continue learning and move forward! Always remember that you must be a customer in your business first and foremost. This will help you understand your business and the challenges your customers face with your department or team, continue to learn and grow.
